two little things with particles here - when you're using a verb phrase to modify a noun (like 仕事をよく出来る with 社員), you don't need to use の. Also, since 得る is an active verb, instead of using に with 社員, は or が would be more appropriate here. (Employees is a subject in the sentence, even though 'this company' is the main subject ^.^)

Ah! Thanks for your help. I had a feeling the の wasn't necessary, but wasn't sure. And thanks for the tip with 得る. See, I read a lot and listen a lot, but I'm just now starting to force myself to be brave enough to try to output the language by writing. I really appreciate the advice.

のほうが doesn't mean 'more' in this way - it's a way to compare things (パンの方がおいしい means 'bread is more delicious [than something else you've mentioned]')
If you want to say 'make bread more delicious,' I'd use もっと, or more, and おいしくする, which is 'to make delicious'

Mysticfive, thanks for your input! I realize that の方が is used as a comparative. My intent was to suggest "than bread without cheese" would be assumed. Perhaps my English translation should have been "the job of cheese is to make bread tastier". Does this make sense?

the thing is that your Japanese sentence doesn't make sense - what you're saying is "The job of cheese is bread is tastier" there's no verb involved there, which is why I suggested the おいしくする like in the grammar pages here: http://www.renshuu.org/index.php?page=grammar/individual&id=329 (the first usage)

I think you want　同僚 instead of 同虜 there... I think the latter might mean something like 'fellow prisoner'... ^.^;;;

in this case, I think it would be more natural to use the dictionary form of たべる instead - that's usually the case when a verb is modifying a noun ^.^
