のでand から can be used in place of とあって to introduce a reason, but they do not carry the nuance :
XとあってY is used to introduce a reason when the speaker/writer considers it natural that Y is the result of X

とあって cannot be used in
われた{ので、から}バスでった。
because the information provided by X is not sufficient to conclude that given X, Y naturally takes place.
