I've seen one anime called "avatar: the last airbender" and I always thought that it was Japanese but then my brother said he watched the special features and said it was Chinese but then I wanted to make sure he wasn't lying and so me and him watched the bonus features and we found out it's Korean. Tell me what you think

Well, it's mostly animated by Korean studios, and the Nations are inspired by Asian countries/cultures (Japan, China, Tibet and Inuit cultures) but I'm pretty sure it's American? Since the original VAs and script writers are Americans and it belongs to Nickelodeon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Avatar: The Last Airbender (abbreviated as ATLA), also known as Avatar: The Legend of Aang in some regions, is an American animated fantasy action television series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko and produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio.

The alternate name 降赱神通 (I think?) is definitely not Japanese. It appears to be a Chinese neologism for something like “calling down magic power.”

I've never watched it, but according to Wikipedia it's largely inspired by China, like even the part that was originally inspired by Japan they changed to be more Chinese-y, so maybe that's what your brother meant. But yeah the show itself is American

The show, as I know it, is american, but loosely inspired by the Japanese invasion of Manchuria around ww2

Each different nation in the show represents a different culture in our world
