I spent sometime trying to clear out word review (it was about 300) and I chopped it down to singular numbers and I notice it’s back? Which is to be expected. But I constantly do review only to realize only few terms were properly reviewed. I’m doing it for kanji right now and when I finish the review I will learn new kanji, but it seems like there’s always 2 remaining. Is there a way to focus ONLY on the ones I need to review, rather than terms I already memorized pretty well?
you could mark items as known. then renshuu just won't ask you to review that anymore. that's probably more what you're looking for.
if you are doing all the reviews in a schedule, and then still have a small number of new ones, that might be the "vector handling" setting, allowing an item to be reviewed several times in a day.
somewhere deep in the settings for your schedules there is a setting
for the intervals between repetitions of reviews. the idea is that as
you know an item better, it takes longer before you are asked to review
it again. you could edit those if you really wanted to, but i wouldn't, as that kind of messes with the whole SRS system.
---
but overall, i'd ask whether you're not trying to go to fast. an SRS like renshuu takes a long time to ramp up to the full workload. if you're learning the same amount of new items every day, renshuu will take over a year before you reach your full workload.
also, accuracy matters enormously in your workload, in a non-linear way. i've not done any exact calculations, but the point where your workload wouldn't get smaller even if you don't add new items is somewhere in the 60-70% range.
my suggestion would be to not add any new items for a bit, while you work on getting your accuracy up. then slowly start adding new items.
If you have 2 remaining, it's probably something else. Your account is older than not - please check this setting:
Menu (top left) > Settings > Kanji (category). Look for the kanji reading filter option. If you are on the red option, you'll want to move off of that.
