Looking through my old school stuff I found a sentence structure that expresses "hope or regret about something that has not (yet) been realized".
The construction is ~ば/たら/と~たい/のに/よかった/ですが/ですけれど etc.
Ex.: もしがおちだったら、けるのに。=> If (only) I were rich, I could travel the world... *sigh*
I only found ~ばよかった that goes in a similar direction, but it doesn't seem quite right. Maybe an extension of it?
Where can I find an appropriate place for my sentence?
Thanks
