That is to say, the new 'search type' dropdown doesn't change to kanji automatically.
As an aside, I prefer the 'search type' menu rather than dropdown because the dropdown requires more taps on mobile.
Can you give me a specific example of a case in which this is happening? I cannot replicate it yet. Also, what device are you using?
It was doing it ten hours ago on Android KitKat (4) during quizzes, but seems to have reverted back to normal now.
