3-character terms ending in 話題作 will not allow any words to be played as no words can be played off of them. I went though the 96 words that come up if you search 題作* or 作* in the dictionary and tried all the 3 kanji combinations but not a single one worked.
Removed it, thanks. I tried replaying the same word 話題作, and could not, so my guess is that this word came in through the non-beta version of the site, which does not have all the shiritori changes in it yet.
