Came across this sentence in a grammar quiz:
"もし私がアメリカに行っていったなら、熱心に英語の勉強をしていたでしょう。"
"If I had been able to go to America, I probably would have been able to seriously study English."
Renshuu tells me:
"行っていった (いっていった) て-form + Helper いる: Casual, past (た)
Dictionary form: 行く (いく)"
But, I thought that いる: Casual, past (た) would be いた.
行く is already a bit strange when it comes to conjugations, so I'm not sure if it's further weirdness or if I am incorrectly conjugating いる.
So the question is:
Why is it 行っていった and not 行っていた ?
Probably a bug, based on just looking at that! Will check it out soon :)
This should be fixed in tomorrow's update!
Awesome. Thanks for the quick feedback.
