Kao Garden is a replacement for the Hanko system, so you can't view your hankos when the garden is active. You need to disable Kao Garden in your user settings to get them back.

There *will* be a way to disable kao garden and show just the hankos

There *will* also be a way to see your hankos while kao garden is running :)
