Does かしら come from/is similar to かもしらない? If not, how is it constructed? I'm a bit confused

かもれない means maybe.

On the other hand, かしら? is more like "I wonder?", or "I suppose?" and is used mostly by woman (men tend to use かな)

かしら is from the question particle か plus the negative form of to know らぬ, which became かしらん, and then かしら
