Are these like counters, where depending on the thing you own you use a different one? Any clarity would be cool, thanks!

You left out watakushi, atashi, ware, waga, and ore, just to name a few. 😁

Japanese pronouns are really an interesting subject, but they tend to be overwhelming complex for beginners. The best thing you can do is try to figure out which pronoun is most appropriate for you, either by asking a native speaker or by seeing what the characters you most identify with use.

Also, never apply a pronoun to another person before checking to see if that would be appropriate. Address them by name. Almost every pronoun implies something about the relationship between you and them, and you don’t want to be misinterpreted.

I heard that うち is also I, is it true?

@P1ng23n5 Yes, but it is primarily used by young girls who are still finding their personality

Haha I'm learning more and more pronouns by the day! Thanks for the reply.

Just to double check then, it depends more on the persons description/status, rather than the thing that they posses? (in an "X の Y" example)

To add, jibun is a bit special, it is not only used in the same sense as pronouns for "I", but more towards a "my" usage pattern and "one's own" pattern as well.
