Japanese pronouns are really an interesting subject, but they tend to be overwhelming complex for beginners. The best thing you can do is try to figure out which pronoun is most appropriate for you, either by asking a native speaker or by seeing what the characters you most identify with use.
Also, never apply a pronoun to another person before checking to see if that would be appropriate. Address them by name. Almost every pronoun implies something about the relationship between you and them, and you don’t want to be misinterpreted.
To add, jibun 自分 is a bit special, it is not only used in the same sense as pronouns for "I", but more towards a "my" usage pattern and "one's own" pattern as well.
