I was watching a Japanese youtube live this morning, and heard the phrase X入れて, which, in that context (the speaker brought back some food), seemed to mean "I brought X back with me (and also...)". I'm pretty sure the plain phrase would be X入れる.

However, this phrase should literally mean "I've put X in".

In this context, does X入れて mean "I've put X in this room (and also...)", or does it have a completely different meaning? I'm not sure if I understood correctly

The full plain phrase may have been 手に入れる, which means to obtain.

Otherwise 入れる doesn't really have a sense like "bring over" afaik, unless the person was talking about a container that they brought and saying what they put in the container maybe.
