What is your weekly limit of new terms for kanji schedules? What limit would you guys suggest? I've finished the starter kanji schedule and started learning the N5 one and now I'm trying to improve my routine.

Like any schedule, it will change over time. If you feel like you can handle more, add more. If the number of terms to review become overwhelming, dial it down.

If I recall correctly, I used to do 2 new terms per day. (I've dialed it back since then, and now do 1 new term per day)

If you do 2 terms per day:

in 40 days, you've been introduced to the ~80 kanji for N5

in 125 days, you've been introduced to the ~250 kanji for N4 and below

in 325 days, you've been introduced to the ~650 kanji for N3 and below

So, if you do 2 every day for a year you get introduced to all the N3 and below kanji.

.

But, just because a routine worked for somebody else, doesn't necessarily mean it will be the right routine for you.

If you can find a routine that you are comfortable with and that you stick to then you will be successful.

What’s your goal? Do you have a timeframe? For example, if your goal is to learn 1000 kanji in the next twelve months, that works out to not quite three per day.

Thanks for the replies, I think a daily amount will work better for me instead of the weekly default. I will try different values until I find a comfortable pace.
