Hello,
Even if I have stopped the addition of new cards, my vocabulary reviews remain largely above 100 a day, which is a lot. It takes me around 1 hour to complete all my schedules every day. What are strategies I can implement to decrease the workload ?
Also, bonus question : how many sentence packs is there for N2 ? I am hesitating to open the next one due to the workload problem above.
Thanks a lot !
Personally, when I had a lot and felt overwhelmed I would just do a quiz of 40 then call it a day. (If they're spread over multiple schedules I'd alternate which ones I did per day.)
Another angle is splitting up your time with quizzes. So you do a little bit here, a little bit there and then you don't have a big nasty chunk of an hour spent all in one sitting.
If you're continuing to learn more vocab you'll continually get more stuff to review. You could technically bump the mastery of words up to stop that but IDK. If you just practice them and get them right for a while, you'll get them less later, after a point barely at all. It's fine to let stuff simmer and work itself out sometimes IMO.
In any case, best of luck!
Go to the "more settings" page, and if you uncheck "Study as much as I can", you'll be able to enter a more personal desired study goal for each schedule. Maybe you can try it out~!
As suggested above, setting a daily goal, and accepting a bit of a backlog is a viable strategy. As you work through them they will start to thin out.
If you feel like the terms aren't going up in mastery fast enough you could:
- adjust the mastery level spacing in the schedule or user settings.
- set the schedule to "Quick and Simple" (as opposed to slow and thorough)
.
Here's a screenshot from the Lesson center. Not sure if this is what you are looking for:
100 terms a day doesn’t seem that many to me, but I would be loathe to do it all in one sitting. If the quizzes are taking too long to complete, maybe it’s because you get bogged down midway. Try setting your quiz size to a smaller number that you can complete in just a few minutes.
