Hey, just letting whoever sees this know that I created some lessons for shiritori covering words that start with る and ル.
.
You can find them by going to the lesson center and doing a search for (#)shiritori without the parentheses (renshuu does this when I add the hashtag here)
.
Of course, I added other hashtags to help:
.
For these lessons, I added everything but the rare stuff. This means that sometimes there are several meanings for the same spelling (e.g. るいか has 4 entries). If you'd like a slimmer version where each spelling only has 1 meaning, I can make those too. Just let me know which set.
This is the most renshuu thing I've ever seen. I love it.
Just an update: I created some う and ウ lessons for shiritori.
edit: I realized that I missed some reversals in both sets the latest set. I have to fix it later this week though. Example: ウイルスびょう
edit2: I only missed reversals in the う set. I did the る set mostly manually, which ironically saved me. I'm working on the fix right now.
My apologies. If you added the reversal lessons yesterday, you'll need to reschedule them.
I've updated the う and ウ reversal lessons to account for matches against うウぅゥ. There are 30 missed/new reversals.
I screwed up how I matched by checking end = start and not any variations. I'm working on fixing the script to account for all special cases in case I make more lessons (including things like かカゕヵ, just in case those exist).
It's only the set of lessons with reversals for う and ウ that are affected. I checked the ones for る and ル and they were fine.
.
The affected reversal lessons for う and ウ are:
04 - length of 5
05 - length of 6
06 - length of 7
07 - length of 8
08 - length of 9
09 - length of 10
10 - length of 11
11 - length of 12
12 - length of 13
13 - length of 14
15 - length of 18 (newly created)
16 - length of 20 (nothing new, but shifted from 15 to 16)

edit: I learned that there are things like ウンピョウ that'll be missing even if they're not rare. This is because the search in lesson terms will sometimes ignore katakana versions if they follow hiragana versions. The lists that I entered had katakana after hiragana, so potentially everything is affected.
Sometimes they'll be present in the bigger lessons because I was adding in smaller batches (e.g. 100 terms at a time for 800+ terms).
I don't know if I'll fix this one or if I should even consider it a problem. There are several things that make it a huge time sink just to add or remove duplicates.
.
Example 1:
A search with katakana on the second line like this
うんぴょう
ウンピョウ
Gives this
Example 2:
A search with katakana on the first line like this
ウンピョウ
うんぴょう
Gives this
You deserve a gold medal for this, I can't even count the number of times I opened katakana shiritori and felt my soul leave my body the moment I saw ル
