Specifically how does it change the meaning when the first word meaning staying up late is combined with no and uta which is song / poem?
The grammar:
の "4 of 6) A directly modifies B, B of A Broadly works as the preposition 'of'"
If we have AのB everything before the の tells you what kind of B you have.
e.g. ピンクのシャツ
ピンク = pink, シャツ = shirt
What kind of shirt do we have ? We have a pink shirt.
So if we have:
よふかしのうた
よふかし = staying up late, うた = song
What kind of songs do we have ? Songs for staying up late
Apparently you're still relatively new to the app (and maybe to learning Japanese).
Japanese uses postpositions like の which is usually interpreted as "of".
よふかし(夜更かし)+の -> yofukashi means "staying late at night" and no means "of"
うた(歌) -> means "song"
"Staying late at night"+"of", "song"
So the whole sentence means "A song of staying late at night" (or more literally "Of staying late a night, a song")
