Hi I am rather new to renshuu. I don't know how to write in kanji for the crosswords, etc. So far, I have used things like jisho, wanikani or even translate to get a needed kanji, then cut and paste. On my computer, I obviously have a Japanese keyboard app that I have used for some years, but it does not convert kana to kanji in the renshuu app. I feel embarassed to ask this question, but my current system is tedious. Thanks

Does your computer have a keyboard setting where you can switch the languages? If so, you could switch it to Japanese so when you type, it has an option of kana or kanji. Like, if you type 'gaku', it would come out as

Depending on you computer, it would be under device settings, keyboard settings, or maybe lanaguages. If that doesn't make sense, please tell me! I'll try to explain it better.

I cannot verify if this works or not, but I believe Windows computers can install language compatibility software for different languages? If you are using a Windows computer, this may be worth investigating to see if there is a built-in kanji converter available. Aside from that, I can't think of much else that could help, sorry!

Hi and thanks for your responses. I discovered today that if I switch to the Japanese keyboard app on my computer, it does indeed offer kanji when i type. Thanks.
