I've started to try to learn kanji, and I find it really, really, long and difficult to write and read . Does anyone have any useful tips to help me learn?
As you get further into your studies, it will get much easier to read, right, and memorize kanji. When you start to recognize radicals it makes a big difference, or at least it did for me. Knowing stroke order for radicals will also help to know stroke orders for larger kanji. Learning more vocabulary with the kanji also helps a lot, and it will become much easier to remember kun'yomi and on'yomi when there's vocabulary to go with each kanji. Keep practicing, and eventually you will know a lot more than you imagined you would, recognizing kanji in every day life is a very fulfilling feeling. Just remember to practice other things too, knowing vocabulary and grammar is important for memorizing kanji well
assocuating kanji with pictures could help if youre one of those learners !! or studying radicals could allow you to piece them together and remember kanji easier, i know the app kanji garden has helped me out with that
