I'm planning on including a section for pdf downloads for users. Right now, I'm starting simple, with two things:
1. 原稿用紙 (essay-writing paper) 2. Kanji writing practice pages
I've got a couple of already-made essay sheets I wanted you to check out. One's A4 size, the other Letter. Possible options on the download page: dashed/solid boxes, different page sizes (A3,A5,B4,Legal) deviations from the standard format (20x20 grid): larger boxes, more boxes (fill out the page, instead of 20x20).
How do they look? Anything you'd change/add? Additional customizations?
Once I get some feedback on this, i'll try making a few kanji writing practice sheets.
Looks good to me. I'm just wondering about the space on the right for people who want to write the furigana for some of the kanji they may not know. Without printing it out and having it in front of me though, it's a bit hard to judge for sure.
Those look useful ^^ Do writing sheets for beginners have lightly-colored lines crossing the middle of the box to help people judge the proportions of the kanji? Maybe that can be an option, too.
Not usually on writing paper, but on kanji practice sheets, yes.
Speaking of, here's one for a single kanji (A4, I think).
Options could include leaving off the fading kanji (everywhere, or maybe just the bottom two lines), doing all one size (large, medium, small), removal of the crossmarks, etc.
A multiple kanji sheet would be similar, except that it would have a term + several boxes on one row, then repeat with a new kanji.
Great idea! How about on the third ones, just have a light colored kanji on the first two or three blocks (like in childrens' practice books). I like the three different sizes on one page. It gives you a chance to write the kanji large enough to see every stroke before you try it normal size.
Looks nice. Would be a great tool to use while studying Kanji on the site. Just copy the Kanji once when I'm having trouble with it in the study page, then I can go back and practice writing it a ton. Would definitely use this! (And probably will start to anyways :D )
I usually like to customize my practice sheets for kanji with onyomi/kunyomi so i can chant them to myself as I'm writing them. Which would probably only be useful if users aren't on the site at the time ^^ That way if the sheets are just printed out, the pertinent info would be easy at hand, whereever you are~~
Thanks for the suggestion - I have thought a bit about adding the readings, and there's a *good* chance that it'll be added, possibly in the near future.
