Depends on what you're looking for. App recommendations, study book recommendations, or just helpful tricks/ methods.... there isn't like a magical trick or anything so it depends on how you learn
print out a lists of hiragana, katakana and kangi read them everyday

Try not to just learn the basics, but also try to use it actively. For alphabets, try writing some words by yourself, for example, random names in katakana. Or try writing some simple sentences in japanese. It can help you memorize things faster.
I write down the lyrics from japanese songs I like in my phone and write an amateur translation with help from the renshuu dictionary, this way I learn new words and grammar and remember them very well, since I listen a lot to music
Consistent review every day is one of the best ways to retain information over a long period of time. If you have enough time to study, you can adjust your schedules to learn a lot of new terms every day. Also, look for Japanese media (music, anime, manga, video games, etc.) that pique your interest and try to incorporate this media into your "casual" studies. (I play games in Japanese on a daily basis to read content outside of my studies.)
The best way to learn Japanese without really trying is to be born into a Japanese speaking family. Unfortunately, that’s not really an option for most of us.
