I actually drew something with color

Frustratingly I did not have the right colors so it looks bad No more colors for me

What do you mean about it being light

Mhmm indeed if you used a little more pressure with the colors it might change the contrast a bit or maybe just darkening the line art would work

Guys, what am I supposed to do if the reference is so hard to draw and confusing that it looks like ai (I checked, it isn't ) I can't recreate the pose myself, and nothing else on Pinterest suits the character I'm trying to draw

if the reference is so hard, then you have got to do it no matter what. Challenging yourself to the extent where it's out of your reach is actually one of the greatest ways to improve and it's quite a big leap. Of course with great result comes the great efflux of time.
Can you specifically share what you can't draw or what method do you use?
