Does the word "term" include words, kanji and grammar expressions? How many terms are there in Renshuu? Do I need to "learn new" kanji, grammar expressions etc to increase that number of terms on my dashboard? Also, should I even be aiming to increase that number now (or should I just aim to master the terms I've already technically learned but am a bit foggy about)? Thanks for any answers. Edit: I just saw that, if I click on the number. there is a breakdown of four kinds of terms (words, kanji, grammar and sentences). Also just now I "learned" ten new kanji, but the number of terms didn't change. So does that mean the number represents terms I've "mastered" rather than "learned"?

Terms include anything "studyable" on renshuu, so yes, words, kanji, grammar, and schedules. There's effectively a limitless number of terms, since you can make a schedule out of anything in the dictionary (200k+ words, 12,000 kanji (even the ones that most Japanese people don't know), 100k+ sentences, and just shy of 1,000 grammar expressions.

To have something appear in that list, it must either have been studied, or assigned a mastery value (say, you go into Tools > Japanese Index and mark all the hiragana as 100% mastered since you learned them before coming to renshuu).

Most people focus on the materials in their schedules, and those term numbers will naturally go up :)
