Recently I learned that ~から can mean 'because' and 'after' (among other things.) However, that made me wonder if those could be confused, or whether the verb or something else in the sentence explains which of the two meanings should be used?
For example, imagine two Japanese sentences that would mean:
1) After I ran, I ate something.
1) Because I ran, I ate something.
How would they differ in Japanese when using ~から?
から only means after if it follows a verb in Te form
Grammar pages:
てから
から
I see, thank you very much!
