I knew a whole sentence, believe it or not. 「なにがほしいですか？」It's burned into my mind in audio-only and I never even caught any of the words until studying them except the first. It was from a shopkeeper dialog soundbite from a video game.
When I was able to understand it, I still haven't heard it again to this very day. I knew without having to go back and check it.
