I haven't eaten it yet, but there is one which is sticky rice balls with sweet miso paste. IT SOUNDS SO GOOD
That sounds delicious!!
i made mitarashi dango not too long ago, so I know the sweet and salty combo works great!
Try melon pan as well, and anything that involves anko (sweet red bean paste). You should go to a Japanese bakery if you ever get the chance, they have so many good sweet breads like melon pan, anpan and choco pan. I guess they're not the most traditional but at least where I live, melon pan and anpan are pretty hard to find, and they're available in lots of places in Japan
@JadeORsomething:3 I don't know about HI-CHEW so much, they are more of a candy than a dessert...
BUT. I will allow it since it so yummers >:3
The texture of Hi-Chew is reminiscent of sugary, chewy gum or a taffy bar to me. If you live near an export store, you may be able to find some mochi with various fruit-flavored fillings.
I bought an assorted candy box from a website called the "Japan Candy Store" and had a great time sampling everything, though I wasn't a fan of the sweet potato or anko candies because I am unaccustomed to their mildly sweet flavor. I'd strongly recommend buying their box containing "nearly-expired" food, because my box had a bunch of unexpired Halloween candy and few foods that were actually close to expiring.
hichews, trust 🙏🏼

they're my favorite!! Though, they don't sell it in my country anymore
もちがめっちゃ上手いよね~ (Mochi are sooo good!)
I especially love their texture, it's like they melt in your mouth
In my country (Poland), I find the company "Bamboo House" makes the softest and squishiest ones
As for flavor, Red Bean is definitely one of my top favorites!
