Ive been using renshuu.org and its awesome! I had a suggestion to make:
When you log into the website (renshuu.org - Duh! XD) Then click...: JLPT > Show personal schedule lessons > Previous Recent Lessons
You will notice that it only lists 10 previous lessons. Is there an option where we can go back father then 10? I played around with the links and did it once, except...
You can still do something like this (starting from personal schedule lessons page):
> Go to your schedule's main page. > Recent Lessons (show all lessons) > See quiz history for this schedule > Then look on the right side and click "All".
The problem with this is that it automatically defaults to the "Enter the hiragana/katakana..." mode, and I cannot type in Japanese on my machine, so I usually use the "Let me select the right Kanji/Hiragana" mode... Is there a way to do that with these older quizzes?
if you do the options i described above and get to the lesson you want to QUIZ on by selecting "All". It will take you to the quiz mode which is "Enter the hiragana/kata" mode. Now...
If you click End Quiz Now, you will get a 0% BUT... You can RETAKE the quiz by clicking "Requiz: How?" and then select "Show Kanji, select Hiragana" mode...
This messes up my score average but allows me to retake the test that way. Ideas? Thanks!!
Sorry about the oddities on the scheduling system. The best advice I can give is to try and hold out until I get the new scheduler written in for the new renshuu 2.0 beta (that's not out yet, but should be this month). I'm going to make it a whoole lot more flexible, so you shouldn't run into these problems at all.
I just wanted to pipe in too. I think it would be really nice to go back more than 10 lessons etc. I hope to see what you have done to improve this. Is it still coming soon? Or are you too busy with last minute studying for the JLPT? ;)
The new scheduler will (if things go as I have them in my head now) allow you to access any lessons at any time. That will *not* be available before the test, however. I'm busy working on the site and studying crazily for the JLPT, so the initial beta release is not going to have the scheduler stuff written into it. I'd rather release the site in chunks so too many bugs dont come out all at once.
