saw a k- and j-pop post and now I want to find the other visual kei and rock music fans. my favorite is definitely buck-tick (and any other music projects atsushi sakurai or hisashi imai worked on). also love malice mizer, dir en grey, der zibet… pretty much any of the bands I’ve listened to are so good and if you love rock music and haven’t listened to v kei yet I highly recommend

I barely know a thing about V-Kei but my second favourite band is a V-Kei band you probably haven't heard of – Fantome Iris~

I don’t know how to reply but to the person who said fantome iris, hello fellow argonavis fan I like the band epsilon speaking of epsilon, the lead singer is the voice actor Yuki, who voices Jyushi in hypnosis mic, and Jyushi is a character who incorporates visual kei into his style and music, such as the song moonlight shadow and violet masquerade!

For vkei bands I only really know SID and would like to learn about more. For other bands I like My First Story and One Ok Rock. Band Maid’s music is also good!

I love SID!! I still need to listen to more of them but they’ve made so many great songs used in anime. V Kei is kind of intimidating to get into cause there’s so much out there and a lot of albums lol. I recommend Dir en Grey for fans of heavy metal, LUNA SEA is a great one to check out if you like any kind of rock music, if you’re into weird artsy theatric gothic stuff, Malice Mizer and Moi Dix Mois are great to check out (both have Mana-sama who’s like the big pioneer of gothic lolita fashion). X Japan is great to check out since that’s where V Kei originated (very glam metal inspired). BUCK-TICK is my favorite and another essential one to check out as they’re just a massive influence on V Kei and J-Rock in general (stylistically they’ve experimented and shifted a lot over their extensive discography but they’ve done a lot of industrial rock and electronic rock).

some good albums to check out if you’re interested in getting into v kei: Blue Blood (X Japan), Gauze (Dir en Grey), Merveilles (Malice Mizer), Darker than Darkness - style 93 (BUCK-TICK), Mother (LUNA SEA)

...I knew eventually something like this would happen–

I've definitely got to watch Hypnosis Mic soon... that character just makes me more interested~

Thank you for the recommendations! And I totally recommend SID’s latest album and hypmic as well

Also there is no quote option for me above the report button, maybe it’s because I’m on mobile?
