Are we trying to format as 卵パン said/suggested?:
[Intro]
Instrumental introduction or short sung lines
Introduction to the melody and mood of the song
[Verse 1]
First verses
Introducing the story/theme
[Pre-chorus]
Transition to the chorus
Increasing tension and preparing for the climax
[Chorus]
Main part of the song
most catchy and memorable
[Verse 2]
second verse
continuation/deepening of the story
[Pre-chorus]
Repitition or variation of the first pre-chorus
[Bridge]
variety, musically, lyrically different from the rest of the song
transition to the final chorus
[Chorus]
Repitition of the chorus (can also be with variations)
([Chorus]
I often see also a third chorus in J-Pop songs but it's not necessary)
[Outro]
End of the song instrumentally or with sung lines
Quiet end/final climax
Tbh that's a little complicated for me Although what I wrote mostly follows that basic pattern except the outro is what the bridge would be and then everything after the bridge is skipped. That larger format would be more useful for a song about Kao-chan's story I think
Ok, so you’re just following a shortened version of that. Personally, I think カオ~~~ should be at the beginning not the end.
Really? I think what I was thinking of with that part was the Yuko Suzuhana song カンパニュラ. Probably depends on what the tune would sound like though
I agree. That would probably depend on the music.
If we had instrumental music accompaniment, what instrument(s) do you think it should be?
I honestly have no idea, I wasn't thinking about the musical part at all. I don't play any instruments (and I don't know how to use computer instruments) so it probably depends on what other people know how to use
Since Kao teaches us Japanese, should the music be Japanese instruments?
Maybe a taiko base with shamisen and/or koto playing the actual notes.
Hmm, I doubt anyone here knows how to play those instruments, but maybe something like Garage Band has digital sounds of them. Speaking of such instruments, have you ever listened to Wagakki Band? They're my favorite band. Actually Yuko Suzuhana is the main singer of Wagakki Band, but カンパニュラ is solo music of hers.
I was thinking that we should use prerecorded sounds. I haven’t listened to the Wagakki Band, but I’ll listen later, when I have time.
Are we making a Kao song album or just a single?
I think we should do multiple songs, since there's no way we could fit everyone's ideas into one song unless it was reallllly long
There are so many different ways to translate this…
Ooh, did you add some stuff? I see some extra lines in parentheses
教えてちょうだい = please tell me, 知りたいな - I wanna know, ないない = no no, はいはい = could be yes yes or just some sounds so it fits to ないない
I think your lyrics ideas are already very good. I’m sure we can use some parts of it. But I would change it a bit to make it sound as good as possible. I made a list once what we can include in the lyrics. It’s somewhere in the beginning of this thread.
