renshuu will only ask for kanji in questions once you have learned them (or marked them as known).
If, however, you don't want to see them at all, you can do that too :). Tap the menu icon, then settings. Go to the Vocabulary section, then where it says "Show unknown kanji like this", choose the option with no kanji :)
