I feel very similar! One that really helped me with learning was “futari no kimochi no honto no himitsu” for counting
also listening to slower songs with Japanese subtitles and/or the text analyzer. Most of my recs are vocaloid but I’ll include cover recs when possible “きれいな感情” (anime op for noir)

I really like Eve. And while he may not be everyone’s cup of tea, Kousuke Atari. He did the ending song 夏夕空 for 夏目友人長 (Natsume’s Book of Friends) and I find his voice very soothing.
I also strongly recommend Band-Maid if you enjoy rock. Other really good groups that I like are Brats, and some of the Bang Dream bands. My favorites are MyGO!!!!! Rosalia and Ave Mujica. By
