NO IDEA about the saliva!
I had a friend with allergies a long time ago- cat was locked in other room, but then sombody let it out and in a shortwhile she started sneezing. And she can't stop if you don't get the cat away from her! Her eyes get all teary.. she doesn't hate cats (prefers dogs, I think you can understand why Lol)
However she CAN pet them ! She's fine for amount of time IF certain conditions are met. I think she couldn't share a room with a cat for more than 15mins maybe?? I don't remember aymore.. Dephends. So maybe there are different types of allergies❔️

Current kitties are strays...Hey look, dont be sad why you lost maxy...but always remember that you actually became a part of maxy's life ; providing maxy love, playing with maxy..be happy because this good and cute thing came to ur life =)
I'm sure there are different types of allergies but what I heard was them licking their fur with saliva made it allergenic but maybe I need to look this up again
Regarding allergies to cats, people can be allergic to cat dander and/or saliva dispersed by the dander, among other allergens.

I don't have cats, but my family went to see a house this week and I spent 90% of my time hanging out with their cat 
she was pretty old and stumbled around in a really cute way 
she would also constantly beg for pets, and whenever I'd stop she'd reach for my hand with her paw

They're old enough now and were in heat.
Miki was running after other cats and he was sooo worried running after her butt... He didn't fight. Just tailed like "Pls. I'm here" it was so funny and cute. She was going all crazy on him jumping and hissing everytime he gets near idk !?!? But they mated!
Think she's pregnant..THEY'RE GONNA HAVE KITTENS ♡
