My favorite kanji is (chou) because it looks funny and cute. And I also like because they don't look like kanji.

I like the kanji for lake.

I see an elderly man sat by the lake at night with the moon reflecting on the water, pondering his lost love.
Melancholy and mystery.

I really like , idk why but it just looks really like something blooming. It might have to do with (doki no sakura) A Japanese war song about unity and having a blossoming friendship until becoming kamikaze piolets and dying together for the greater good (at least I think that's what it means anyway).

It just looks really poetic.

I like (radical form of 'person') since my mnemonics with it always use a specific person and I always put them in goofy situations.

The kanji I like to write the most is (I use the keyword 'turkey'). Very satisfying and easy to remember stroke order compared to other kanji with comparable number of strokes.

I’m always messing up the stroke order. How do you remember it?

EDIT: I took TBGM at face value, but in hindsight I guess they were being ironic. I’ll get it right one of these days.

Purely from a design perspective I love the kanji , the way the four small radicals are neatly arranged in a square. (Is it weird to say you like , I still wonder though.) The picturegram-style kanji I probably appreciate the most is , where the little petals of the tree seem to be floating down over the figure of the lady. It's just perfect.

, because it's so intuitive and made of the simplest parts. Mountain slope goes up, mountain slope goes down – ta-daa, you have a mountain crest/ridge/peak!

I also completely agree with @パン (why don't @ callouts work?) and look hilarious. As a jigsaw puzzle fan, I keep wanting to slot them together.

I'm with you, @ペルセフォネ about incredibly complicated kanji for relatively basic words. I mean, 薔薇, seriously? Or 躊躇, which I happened upon yesterday. I'll figure you out if it kills me, you absurd squiggly things!

And (how do you quote multiple posts?), THANK YOU, @TBGM, now I'll never see without thinking "turkey".
