Can someone remind me how to read the dots in the kunyomi readings in the dictionary? I've tried to look it up, but all I got was different dictionaries use different notation models.
If you look in "Japanese Lessons" in the menu, there should be a "Kanji Basics" lesson that explains everything about kanji dictionary entries.
The dot/parentheses/etc. in kunyomi readings separates the reading of the kanji from the okurigana that follows it. For example:
走 is the kanji for "run", and the verb "to run" is pronounced はしる. In the dictionary, the reading is written as はし(る), meaning that when you write the verb in kanji you write 走 with a る after it: 走る. はし alone is the part of the reading represented by the kanji.
