So I've seen 過ぎる used to emphasize the passing nature of time with an emotional aspect, and 経つ to just make a statement. But my dictionary says 経る exists too, however I've never seen it used. Is it more of a dated expression?
Yeah there are many disadvantages to using a japanese to english dictionary, I'd google like you said if I had a larger vocabulary. But it does seem like I was right, 経るis commonly used in the て form when describing a change of state over a passing period of time, and the page you linked to says 移る is for a transition of time.
