A new bug is crawling its way through to me 😤 I don't know how to explain this accurately so I took screenshots to do the mission on my behalf...
I always clicked on the という(or whatever) place to get to the grammar section, and the trip to there always went on smoothly. Now it doesn't, rather freezes.
then I try to flee out by clicking 'back'
I get a question out of the order, then the quiz surprisingly, miraculously ends
then the dashboard also surprisingly, miraculously appears in a cropped screen from both sides
So, how can I deal with all these... super-miracles?!
It's most likely that the first issue caused all the other ones.
I cannot yet replicate this, so let's test a few things. The next time the first thing happens (tap grammar link, but nothing happens), first try this: go to the menu > settings, then immediately save. This will reload the page. After that, see if it works.
If it DOES, then that means something earlier in your renshuu/quizzing session is hanging around, causing the issue. After we ccheck this, we can continue to look at it.
Okay. I tapped a grammar link, it froze, I went on settings then immediately save, then the grammar page I wanted appeared 👇🏻(I'm not a tech person, sorry for the lame phrasing)
Thanks. Try this - next time, first do the settings thing, then after that, tap the link and see if it works. (so basically, reverse the two steps you took.)
I'm honestly not quite sure what is causing it :(. But thanks for trying that out.
I do not think I've asked you to do this yet (please let me know if I have), but have you tried loading up renshuu.org in your phone's browser to see if the issue persists there?
I have tried renshuu.org out. No bugs but one big problem. Typing messages is an impossible challenge. I mean... how can I explain this?! For example, I'm typing a message, suddenly the typed alphabets fly up and down. If I wanna delete something, something else gets deleted. The social aspect is a main for me on Renshuu. I tried Renshuu.org on Mull and Fennec browsers (the ones I have), the typing problem is in both. The same problem was also there on WaniKani. Is typing messages on browsers (not apps) always this weird?
The bug of the freezing grammar page happened on renshuu.org a few times and I had to wake it up with the settings thing. The curse has fallen... No way out.
I'm sorry to hear that it's not working out, but it really sounds like it is something else on your device that is interfering with renshuu, wanikani, etc. It should not be weird like that, especially not in the browser.
Do you have any kind of vpn, antivirus, or other safety related apps installed and active?
Without knowing what is causing it, there is no way to say what will fix it. However, given the 10s of thousands of users on renshuu, the fact that it is only coming up for you (that I am aware of) makes me suspect that it might be something specific with your device.
Shit! And my brother who is our "tech-jesus" isn't with me in Germany at the moment... It was all going absolutely great. What the hell happened all of a sudden?! Okay... Anyway thank you! I appreciate your efforts!
