ルキフェルス

means "adult woman"
, as a kanji means "female" (or if you're into ninjas, a くのいち from how it is drawn)

Try to not get kanji meanings and words conflated. It can and will cause confusion, as they are often used to describe something that may not relate to the kanji's immediate meaning.

You'll see in words like (female, gender) (young girl) .

First, I never knew the くのいち thing, that's really clever kao_shock.png

Second, I believe when used as its own word refers to the female gender in general, while 女の人 as ルキフェルス said refers to adult women.

Yeah, the kunoichi thing is something my wife taught me when I wrote る incorrectly. lol

That's true, when a kanji is just sitting there with no friends, just assume the base kanji meaning I suppose.

In my case is NOT PRETTY or PRINCESS. Even though it comes from しい and

It's ミキ(given name) Miki-chan

and isn't HAPPINESS せ It's ユキ Yuki what can I say。。。rarest of them all POKEMONkao_shiawase.png

Thank you for the clarification!
But... - here the radicals are woman and not yet--> Here they mean a person that is not yet woman, which means little sister xD.
Also - here the radicals are woman and market ---> A woman in market is now a fully grown woman that is why she is older sister kao_lazy.pngkao_lazy.png

What is the concept?? kao_rocking.png Lol

I mean 怒る (angry) is "woman, again, heart" while it is hilarious, just remember the particles don't always line up with the meaning.

For example, (kuma) there aren't many bears with the ability of fire out there ( and )

Maybe someone else can explain the logic more accurately than I can, but the rules are different between kanji (formed from radicals) and words (formed from individual kanji). 女の人 is a word formed using the kanji and , while , , and are single kanji formed using the radical. The in 好き also has the radical in it, but the character as a whole does not have anything connected to woman in its meaning! (though I suppose a mnemonic that makes sense could be "a woman () is fond of her child ()".)

Hope this is helpful kao_yoroshiku.png

Hahaha! Yes, like mine. A reverse problem exists with names as there are various of ways to write the same name….Parents can get really creative with how they name their kids. You never know what it is.

Even Japanese people don't know how to read it.. they have to ask how to read the name. Hence on official forms and documents, there is always a space to write the reading (in
Hiragana or Katakana) right above the space to write the name.

For example this kanji haves 6 ways to read. Rebi, Remi, Urumi, Tsugumi, Yoshimi, and Reimi some of them are popular names is Japan.kao_dead.pngkao_dead.png
