掲示板 Forums - Difference between 角, 隅, and 片隅

I'm somewhat confused about the difference between these different words, because I've seen them all used as "corner."

So here's my general idea of the differences:

角 - It can refer to a corner, but more specifically the "edge" or "horn" of something? I'm still a bit confused at this one.

隅 - Is this one just a basic "corner"?

片隅 - Based on the kanji addition, is this a "one-sided corner", however that's to be interpreted?

This is something I've been wondering about for a while but haven't been able to figure out much of myself.

As for 片隅 vs 隅, here's a quote from a native speaker: "Almost same. But 片隅 is used for a lonely place, outcast, isolated... 隅 is just a corner."

Shows up a lot in songs and literature in a poetic "forgotten/lonely place" kind of way.
