Forums - how do i practice conversations in japanese with myself?

i know this sounds weird but im too embarrased to talk to anyone else and ai is super unreliable. is there any like way to do it in a way i can know im not actually speaking nonsense?

Sooner or later you will need real experience but I'm assuming you know that.

What I'm doing is the following (I have the same problem): Try to think and talk to yourself in Japanese. Write little diary entries, write a short comment on a movie you watched or about an article you read in Japanese and paraphrase it. It doesn't have to be correct. The point in this kind of practice is to be able to form meaningful statements. The form isn't important here. The point of making sentences whether verbally or written is to convey meaning in the language.

To know if you're speaking nonsense is pretty hard on your own. One way to prevent that is to integrate common phrases and expressions into these practices.

And if you still care about grammar you can give it to Chatgpt or whatever and let it correct you.
