I love the text Analyser feature, my main use of it is for song lyrics!
My one problem is when a song has some words in English sprinkled throughout, the text Analyser will tell me there's too much English and it won't let me continue... It's extremely disappointing that there's this limitation. I wish I could deactivate it. Is there something I'm missing? I don't understand the point of this limitation, and it's extremely frustrating when I'm denied my chosen use case when I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong.
I don't recall what the exact issue was, but if I remember correctly, having large amounts of non-Japanese words in users' saved texts was causing stability issues, and the tolerance for it had to be considerably reduced in order for the Text Analyzer to work properly. You aren't doing anything "wrong" and the TA isn't arbitrarily punishing you for including English in your texts, it just can't handle the amount you're putting in.
I may be wrong, but I think the TA's threshold for how much English it will allow is based on the percentage in the overall text, so it may work better for you if you include the lyrics of multiple songs at once, so the overall proportion of English will be lower. You can also just delete the English phrases, or replace them with katakana-ized words.
Enclosing each English word in square brackets may help, by forcing the parser to ignore those words. You have to do each word separately because spaces will break things.
It's not that - it's that it will not parse it to begin with. The parser itself is not meant to handle English well, and so limits were put in to prevent "bad" text from getting entered that caused the server to dramatically slow down because the text was not "welcome", if that makes sense.
To the OP - if you want to send me the lyrics you are sending (you can DM them to me), I'd be happy to see if I can better fine-tune the checker to let those through :)
