1. For Writing Questions for kanji you have the settings
Which question style would you like to use? Specify writing styles for each mastery level Each stroke must be written correctly before proceeding
Can we get those settings for Word Writing Questions (I mostly want it for Hiragana and Katakana)
2. For Word Questions you have the setting
Type/write the answer when possible
However this does not really work well with Hiragana/Katakana as its asking you for the kana (which for me is typing the romaji since I use windows IME and the question gives the romaji) I was wondering if its possible to make it so either a separate toggle or same toggle (only effecting the Kana) were it gives you the Japanese and you need to type the definition (the goal is so it gives the kana then I need to type out the romaji sound)
For #2, have you tried tapping the handwriting squiggle in the input box to draw in the kana (on a computer, but still, it would prevent the romaji input)?
that is a option however that overlaps a lot with the Writing Questions which for practicing the romaji to kana is much better (since if you had the same settings as there are in kanji you could start with guidance and slowly move to no guidance) plus what I want from this is the ability to practice going from the kana say "は" then having to type the romaji sound "ha" (I don't always have headphones or speakers so listening questions are not always a option) since that can help practice not only the sound but also being able to correctly type the kana (since in Windows IME you type the romaji sound) in order to increase my typing accuracy and speed
Thanks for the reply, and apologies for the late response on my end. If you are inside of the hiragana or katakana schedules (just those two, as they are marked within the system), the kana > meaning study vector (under Currently Studying for the schedule's settings) WILL let you do fill-in-the-blank, and is what you are describing (see は, expected to *type* (not select) ha).
Did not know about that (also you are technically not late since you don't have to respond). It would probably be hard/annoying to implement but it would be nice if that was an option for other schedules that include those terms. (I have a custom schedule that includes all words I have learned + kana so I do not get the option) Not exactly what I was asking for before but maybe you could make a third schedule that includes both Hiragana and Katakana that has access to that (Don't know if this would be useful for others but at least for me I like having both merged into one)
