I understand you can step back 5 levels and reset your Kao-chan at level 100, and that you can keep/access your Kao-chan forms once you finish an evolution line. Now if I reach 100 and then step back 5 levels to unlock the other forms at 75 and above, does that mean the Kao-chan forms I already unlocked from 75-100 are lost or are they also saved and I would have access to two forms of evolutions from 75-100? Or am I allowed to only save 1 set of evolution selections each time I do 1-100 for a Kao-chan?
Which leads me to think, can I keep stepping back 5 levels and unlock/keep all Kao-chan forms of that evolution line, or do I have to do 1-100 multiple times to unlock/keep all forms of that evolution line? (In my case, I love the peach color and the dragon pet, so I was thinking of stepping back down only to 75 and trying the other 2 forms besides Throwing Stars and unlock all of the 75+ before resetting my Kao to one of the Pro options.)
To my knowledge, going back 5 levels is like travelling back in time – what you've done beyond that doesn't exist anymore. When you climb your way back up to the "upper", i.e. later multi-choice point, you'll get three options again.
Put differently, the various Kao options are shaped like a tree with branching limbs, but the evolution of each individual Kao is shaped like a simple line snaking up the tree.
(That's assuming I understood your question correctly – sorry, it's a little late where I am.)
