I froze 3 kanji schedules yesterday, went to unfreeze them this morning, got the usual green banner saying it might take a couple of minutes, but the schedules didn't unfreeze. I tried it several times throughout the day, but it's now been 10 hours and still nothing.

I have this exact same issue, having tried to unfreeze a vocab schedule several times today on both mobile (iOS app) and web (macOS, Vivaldi browser) with no success, but also seeing the usual green banner about taking a few minutes.

There was some downtime yesterday, and it was linked to that. Everything (I believe!) should be running smoothly now.

Still happening 😞

  1. kanji Kentei
  2. kanji for Sakura
  3. Beginner kanji (N5)

(Technically, all my schedules are frozen, but these are the 3 I freeze/unfreeze on a weekly basis)

Weird - I just looked at your account, and all three appeared normally on the dashboard - two of them had reviews ready, and the quiz loaded up normally for me.

Just saw that this morning, twice as many reviews 😭 Should have refreezed the invisible schedules last night!

I had the problem again, and managed to fix it!

steps:

  • open android app, unfreeze schedules.
  • wait 1 hour, schedules still not showing.
  • open renshuu in browser, schedules showing.
  • open android app, schedules are now showing!

Not sure why they were not showing in the android app the first time around, but at least, now, I can do my reviews!

It's happened again... It seems to be pretty consistent now, schedules won't unfreeze in the android app (or at least won't be visible) until I log into the website. I then just need to refresh the app and they appear immediately.

I can't remember when I did the server switch thing, but I wonder if it's related.

Doubtful (server change).

When this happened to you this time, did you get the "it will take time to unfreeze them", or did it just say "hey, they're unfrozen!"

Did you do multiple schedules at once?

Every time, I get the green banner "it will take time etc", and every time I freeze those 3 schedules at once (I never did them one by one) - apart from the blip a few months ago, this seems to be a fairly recent but consistent issue.

Same problem happened to me yesterday, so to fix it I logged out and came back in.

Ok, thanks. I think I may have made some progress on it, and it tracks with all the info you've given me.

Will need to wait until the next time you unfreeze one, but let me know if it improves at all!
