Hello, I accidentally hid a kanji mnemonic instead of liking it and then exited the page. I can't find a way to see hidden mnemonics to unhide them. Could someone help me please ?
That's a known "problem", unless something's changed from one year ago, you can't really undo it. I know of one workaround, but it requires you a) remember which one it was and b) know how to run JavaScript. You'd also need someone else to give you the ID, since you can't see it at all.
This is assuming Michael doesn't offer to help you get it back. I don't think he did last time someone asked, so I'm just operating under that assumption.
If you know which one it was, another user can give it to you, and you can make your own private version.
Can't think of anything else you can do, but I'll go check just in case.
Edit: Scratch the JS workaround, I can't remember what I did last time, and I can't get it to work now :D
Edit: Figured it out, but it's super clunky and I don't recommend it...
It was the most liked mnemonic for the kanji 町 . To be honest, I don't remember it, because I kind of missclicked...
I posted my message in case it happens again, but after your answer I'm scared lol. Thanks though!
Was it this one? You can make a private version of it if you'd like. Here's the format (you can just copy-paste it):
A [town] starts with a [neighborhood] of (rice fields) -田- connected with (streets) -丁-

It's entirely possible Michael brings it back for you though. Anyway, be careful with the misclicks :)
Edit: Removed the more convoluted way (workaround) of getting it back, the new one (my next comment) is much easier. Of course it would be nice to have an official way of doing this :)
It looks to me like if you go to the user’s profile and view their writing, you can still see the mnemonic you hid.

(Note that the circled region has no heart/eye).
You can’t unhide it though, which seems like a bug.
Would be nice if that gets fixed. Assuming it's not too difficult. I won't comment on that, since these things can be quite messy in ways that aren't obvious.
Doesn't help you if you forget the user though.
PS: It does make it very easy to fix on PC, assuming some minimal technical understanding. You can just copy over the heart from another mnemonic, change the id, click it, and it's back to being visible.
