Ok so sometimes I see a dash at the end of a name of word and I was wondering if that dash really makes or difference and what it actually does/means? Thank you!!

I figured you couldn’t possibly be asking about the stretch mark when you have two of them in your username?!
Maybe they just copied ジョースター (from JoJo's) without knowing what those 'ー' mean?
Yeah, I asked a friend of mine if my translation of Joestar was correct and they told me to add the dashes so I did but never asked what the dashes ment until now
