Looking at your stats, I'm going to assume you're talking about Hiragana. It just takes a bit of time. Some people learn them faster, some slower, you'll memorise them eventually :)
Maybe take a look at the mnemonics under each character (usage notes)? That could help. You can also try watching a video lesson (e.g. on YouTube). Having someone walk you through the characters does help. Have you tried writing them down?
Choose a few words that you like and try to have at least one per kana. You don't need to have multiple words per kana. Then just write them a bit each day. You don't need to remember them first, just take a look at your list and write them for while. After a week, try to write them without looking at your list. But if you're spending too much time to remember, just take a look at your list. Then repeat until it start to become easy. After that, you just need time =p
for starters, you can make your own kana chart! sort them by consonant/vowel sound for easy reference, and repeat as many times as you feel you need to. sometimes it helps to say the sounds out loud as you write. writing some basic words in hiragana can also help you remember them, since you'll have more context for them.
