In my case i need it because im trying to study in japan! is probably the best opportunity i have.
I started learning simply to have another language in my dictionary 🫰
but it's also so that if I decide to study in Japan I'll understand the language and stuff ❤
Wanted to read some some JP Literature and some of the works I've read were mostly abandoned by their groups, so I've picked up Japanese just to get through this reoccurring hassle. ( ノ ゚ー゚)ノ
Because I wanted to play Japanese games that do not have translations/localizations!
I have had multiple Japanese exchange students so someday I will see them in Japan and would like to speak with them in Japanese 😊
I used to be a big anime fan back in school, and two years ago I figured that this experience gave me a lot of subconscious knowledge of Japanese. I thought that it would be sad to forget everything and let it go to waste, so I started learning for fun. Now it is my main hobby
I started learning Japanese because I said I wanted to learn a language. i couldn’t decide which language to learn Japanese wasn’t even one I was considering, And then my family started planning a trip to Japan
and I was going to only learn a few words for travel. I started watching anime and I was watching random videos on things like こんにちは and I loved learning Japanese
I decided that if I wanted to learn a language and i was already working on it I might as well continue and now I’m working to be fluent someday
Started out of pure boredom in my life and needing to fill it with something productive. Now i hope to visit and do a short-term stay in Japan. This is the first language i’ve tried that actually stuck. I like to think the language chose me.
I just really liked Japan and wanted to go someday. My motivations initially were different but now I really like the culture and the language and stuff. It's fun to learn!
I was curious on how this language could make my brain change and adapt
I was originally motivated by Japanese music! Especially Vocaloid and anime songs.
I also watch a lot of Japanese content creators and thought it would be great to learn Japanese so I didn't have to rely on machine translations. Also learning languages is really fun and interesting!
I've watched anime and played Japanese games since I was little and just always had an interest in East Asia. However what finally pushed me to learn Japanese was when I finished a certain JRPG that had sequels I desperately wanted to play because I liked the first game so much, but weren't translated like the first game was. Thus I began learning Japanese with the sole gole of playing the rest of the series.
Well, I finished that series a couple of years ago now and I didn't stop there. Now I've come to have so many reasons for learning Japanese if someone asks me "why Japanese?" I have trouble thinking of a proper answer. In fact usually I just end up saying that I have a lot of reasons
I think the language is really beautiful also the culture as well, even though I found it through music and tv shows I made me want to learn the language
