Hi マイコー先生!I know you're not adding new features for a bit, but I would like to make a suggestion for when you get back to working on them! It would help my learning so much if there were an option to initially hide furigana for unknown kanji in quizzes. I've been using my finger to try to hide them but it doesn't usually work very well (笑). I absolutely love the "hide multiple choice options" feature in quizzes, as well as the option to type in the answer after a word reaches a certain level of mastery. I've found that the "hide multiple choice options" feature works really well as a sort of bridge or training wheels between learning a new word and being able to generate it on my own without hints. I think that it would work in a similar way if furigana were initially hidden for unknown kanji, then they would toggle on when clicked on, in the same way the hidden multiple choice options are revealed. It would give me a chance to try out recognizing the full word without that crutch, but I could still leave the kanji marked "unknown" and study it in depth later. I’ve realized that when I see a word like 貧乏 displayed as "~ぼう" the "ぼう" sort of gives away the answer for me before I have a chance to test if I would recognize the word without furigana.
I really like having togglable furigana when I practice reading on other sites, because I can test myself first and then quickly toggle it back on if I can't come up with the reading on my own. I've started marking some of these kanji as known to better test myself, but I haven't actually studied those kanji yet - so I would love this feature as a happy medium if it's possible!
My gut response is that it will be much more difficult than you might think (to implement), but can you toss up a few screenshots of where you'd like to see this implemented?
