Unsure if this should go in the しましょう forum or not, apologies if this would be better suited somewhere else.

I've found Counter Punch's "here are 5 words in one page, study them before you play" approach a little intimidating, so I compiled everything up to level 21 (, , , , つ, ) into word lists to study in normal Renshuu fashion.

A lot of these words aren't in the dictionary, but I've added them as custom words while following the definition for words that are in there. For example, さんまい is added to the list directly, while よんまい is added as a custom word meaning "four flat objects".

I decided not to include the popup tips in the lists (eg. "You just have to write /まい after each number") as I feel it would be ripping off the game a bit too much.

The list can be found by searching Counter Punch Words (no idea how to link lists here). Suggestions and corrections are welcomed.

They all look good to me :) I'm not sure that there's anything to suggest or correct. Maybe you could do something with the counter words themselves? Like (まい), (ほん), etc. You could also add the "how many?" word for each counter. E.g. (なんまい).

Could have them in a separate list for people who want to check out the dictionary terms.

That's if I was forced to give suggestions though. I don't think it's necessary, and your list seems perfect. You can just keep going without changing anything.

PS: I didn't notice any mistakes, but it's possible I just missed them.

Good idea, I've added them to the first level of every new counter! Seems like a good place for it.

I think it would be useful as a separate list, the problem is I don't actually know Japanese kao_worry.png Some of those terms aren't in the dictionary (for example ), so I might have to rely on machine translate to give me the correct reading.

Thank you for helping me check the list!

Update: added the "how many" words to a list named Counter Punch Extras, hopefully useful for someone who searches up a Counter Punch list.

Couldn't get machine translate to give me anything resembling つ or though, so I'm assuming that isn't how it works in Japanese.

You're welcome, and here are the readings for "how many" if you need them:

  • 何本 (なんぼん)
  • 何枚 (なんまい)
  • 何匹 (なんびき)
  • (なんだい)
  • いくつ ← this is for つ
  • 何日 (なんにち)
  • (なんちゃく)
  • 何頭 (なんとう)
  • 何人 (なんにん)
  • 何杯 (なんばい)
  • 何分 (なんぷん)
  • 何個 (なんこ)

Edit: Oh, did you add them already :D, well these are the correct ones in case it gave you anything wrong.

Looking at the list, I don't see any issues, except for いくつ missing. It doesn't work like the others, つ isn't a thing and is a rare way to write (for the counter). I think is the older character, but I've never seen anyone use it instead of .

Update: Did you take from the つ suffix? That's different. Also, the thing about these "Rarely written as X" tags is that they are either frequently used (e.g. for あなた) or practically never used (e.g. for つ). The frequency isn't obvious at all. Just something to keep in mind.

Oh, thank you for the いくつ ! That one tripped me up, つ is such a weird counter. And yeah I did get from the level for つ, it was shown as that in the level splash screen, but the description did make it sound like it was rarely written as the kanji.

I've had a few encounters with the rarely written as X thing, but I absolutely do not know enough about Japanese to judge kao_drool.png At least it seems like none of these counters are listed as rare, just alternatives!
I'll add words for the levels included for Renshuu Pro when I (eventually) get good enough to start needing the advanced practice questions kao_sparkles.png
