Is there a way we can add our own words to a main schedule, let us say I am learning new words from outside my schedule and I want them there so that I can practice them?

Assuming they already exist in the dictionary, you can just look them up and add them from the green plus.

Edit: You can also add words directly from sentences:

If they're not in the dictionary you'd need to create custom/user terms and add those. Let me know if that's what you meant, and I'll elaborate.

Actually I was just looking on a guide for that. Where do I access custom terms?

1. Go to Resources → Community lists → ME.

2. Make a New List.

3. Fill out all of the details.

4. Search for the word you'd like to add as a custom term. It won't find it ("Not found in dictionary") and will instead let you "Add" it. For this example I'm making a term for .

If you didn't add it to a set, it will got into your "(Assorted Lists)".

You can now go into that list and add it to any schedule/list just like any other term. If you're making a stand-alone list, you can just schedule it instead.

The other way is to use Reading Buddy:
