Should I learn every Hiragana character first then proceed to Katakana? Or do both simultaneously?
I advise learning Hiragana first then moving to Katakana, trying to learn both at the same time could get confusing.

Short answer: Yes. Learn Hiragana first then katakana.
Long Answer:
Most of the words you'll see will be in Hiragana or kanji (even both.) Katakana is only used for foreign words such as coffee or コーヒー in Japanese (in dictionary rarely written with kanji) as you learn Japanese, most of the time (in my experience at least) it will be in hiragana and then it will eventually introduce kanji as you start the kanji schedules on renshuu. Throughout the Japanese basics vocab, you will see both words in Hiragana and katakana.
(I think it will show the katakana with furigana which is hiragana on top of the characters if you only have hiragana learnt in the system but I am not sure as I already skipped hiragana and katakana when I started on renshuu having already knew it prior). If you have the knowledge of the sounds from doing hiragana first, it will also be easier to do katakana as it is both the same sounds, written slightly differently though some are technically nearly identical.
My point is, learn hiragana first. Then learn katakana once you know the hiragana sounds.
(And than learn kanji because when you learn it, onyomi uses katakana while kunyomi uses hiragana)

Thank you!
I think you should start with hiragana then learn katakana so you don’t get them confused.
I'd recommend the order hiragana –> katakana as you'll find a lot of words in hiragana, while maybe just some foods, names or nationalities are in katakana!
yes, i believe learning hiragana first will go and extend u to prepare for katakana, otherwise it gets confusing
You should! I believe in you, you can do it! It can take time, but it’s worth it! :D
